Unfortunately, a lot of interesting features are disabled by default in one of the most popular and widely used web browser "Google Chrome". It is useful to know where to find the hidden page to change the settings.
- Open Google Chrome, type chrome://flags or about:flags in the addressbar and press Enter. It will open a configuration page of Google Chrome.
- Scroll down until you see Smooth Scrolling option, choose Enable, then click on Relaunch Now button when it is shown after enabling.
- The web browser will restart. Try if you are able now to scroll smoothly. If not, you must go back to the hidden settings page, look for the Overlay Scrollbars option, maybe it will help.
I said "maybe" at the end because for my page smooth scroll jquery plugin it did not help, my webpage on Chrome jumps from one anchor to the other... I feel it is a serious problem that visitors are obliged to settle basic things in Chrome, and in a difficult way for most of the people who are not internet/computer gurus, I believe that Chrome can devenir like Internet Explorer if it remains like this.
